History, Capabilities and Future Plans for the Manufacturing Solutions Center

Jeff Neuville
Director, Manufacturing Solutions Center at Catawba Valley Community College

Created as the Hosiery Technology Center in 1990, the Manufacturing Solutions Center (MSC) at Catawba Valley Community College has evolved into a nationally known and trusted resource for manufacturers throughout the United States. With an ISO accredited testing lab, knitting labs for product development support, customized in-plant training and additional resources, the Manufacturing Solutions works with textile and non-textile customers across the country.

MSC Director Jeff Neuville will share the MSC’s history, discuss its current services and capabilities, and share future plans for the Center, which include incubating startup manufacturing companies and playing a role in the recently announced NC Textile Innovation and Sustainability Engine, part of the National Science Foundation’s Regional Engine Project.
