Buddy Garrett is Associate Director, Textile Chemistry Research at Cotton Incorporated. In this role, Buddy oversees the Color Services Laboratory, Garment Wet Processing Laboratory, and Digital Printing Laboratory. As well, he assists in preparation and dyeing related research and development along with troubleshooting dyeing related issues and research involving garment performance finishing applications.
Prior to joining Cotton Incorporated in 2014, Buddy worked for U.S. apparel retailer, Abercrombie & Fitch, in their Innovation and Design Center as Senior Manager of Dyeing Services, providing color standard development and new dyeing techniques. Buddy has also held dyehouse production management positions at a major vertical home furnishings manufacturer, Burlington Industries, Burlington House division, and at a commission dyeing and finishing company, United Piece Dye Works. Buddy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Textile Science from North Carolina State University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Elon University.
