Welcome to the Official STRC Web Site

The Southern Textile Research Conference will be having the 2010 conference in September this year to avoid conflicts with ATME-I MEGATEX 2010 and the AATCC 2010 International Conference.

Our venue will still be Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. This year we will meet at the Marina Inn at Grande Dunes (www.marinainnatgrandedunes.com) on September 19-21, 2010. We have an exciting technical program planned with presentations on Green Chemistry, Microwave Finishing, Cationized Cotton, Advances in Flame Retardancy, Textile Tagging for Import Control, and Sustainability. The usual golf and networking activities will, of course, be available.

2010 STRC

STRC is a conference that was started approximately 50 years ago to enable technical professionals from the dyestuff, chemical, manufacturing, and academic sectors of the textile industry to assemble.  The conference is designed to foster discussion on the topics presented.  Free time in the afternoon hours is structured to provide attendees an opportunity to forge new friendships and renew old acquaintances.

This conference supports the Luther B. Arnold Scholarship
